Any implications if we set the default save option to Word97-2003
Our firm is about to rollout Word 2007, however most of the firm will
still have Word 97 for some time to come, as will most clients and other contacts. If we set the default save option to Word 97 - 2003 until such time as Word 2007 (or later) is the industry standard and is completely rolled out across the company, are there any major implications we should look out for? On the other hand, as long as you still have one computer in the firm that uses Word 97 and is supposed to be able to open Word documents created on Word 2007 machines, I see no easy workaround than setting save defaults to 97--2003; simply because the Office 2007 compatibility pack is only working (or at least: only recommended/supported) for Word 2000 and younger.
