Default Cannot activate trial

I cannot activate my trial version of Microsoft Office 2007. I have put in my
25 character key, but when it gets to activating the software over the
internet, a window pops up saying "communication error. Request cannot be
processed at this time" I have been trying for a week now, from two different
connections, with Norton and windows firewalls turned on and off in all
possible combinations. It's a new computer, but it's getting old very quick.
Any suggestions, please.

It sounds like the trial has expired before you tried to activate it. Did
you download the trial recently? Have you had problems with or changed the
settings of the Date/Time of Windows? Is it definitely a genuine trial
version and not a pirated copy? Did you enter the 25-character product key
correctly? Where did you get the product key?

same issue here, downloaded Office 97 trial version today and when trying to
activate, i get the "a communication error has occured" error message. New
computer so i have no old versions of office and phone activation is not an
option(greyed out). Microsoft phone support will not help anyone with trial
version issues.
