Default word function

Dear experts,

I needed to explore some function of Word 2003

1)Word document but locked so that only areas need to be checked box and
lines to fill in can be €śchanged€ť otherwise others cannot change content.

2)Put check box in place of squares so it can be checked on the document

How to perform the above function?

Start by investigating the forms toolbar where you will find the functions
you require.

've tried to use form tool bar and found function to lock the form,
however, the whole doucument is also locked,
and other than to check the checkbox, I also needed to fill
some text on the document.

pls help

That is the nature of forms, however if you just want a toggled check box to
display in your document, see the relevant section at
