In Word, I almost always want "Unformatted Text' as my choice. It always
brings up HTML as the first choice. Is this something that can easily be
changed? Thanks.

Use the following macro attached to a toolbar button of keyboard shortcut:

Sub PasteUnfText()
On Error GoTo Oops
Selection.PasteSpecial DataType:=wdPasteText, _
Placement:=wdInLine
End
Oops:
Beep
End Sub
