When I convert a Word doc to PDF, the formatting changes on the document and
the alignment gets thrown off. Does anyone know why this happens or how to
stop it from happening? I'm using Word 2003 and current version of Adobe. I
also just loaded Nuance PDF Professional and tried it on that software and
got the same result.

Set the printer driver to Adobe PDF. Check the format of your document, then
output to PDF
