Hello,
I apologize as I have posted this early but may not have be clear. I have a form that is set up in table format and when in print view, looks and prints great. When I switch it to Outline view some of the right side of the document is cut off and looks like it as well when printing like the page is not wide enough. I have the margins set as low as they can go AND I even tried to set the page to Landscape and it is still the same. What is it that I am doing wrong????? I need to complete this for a manager because she wants the document to collapse and expand and I can get it to do that but just not print right. Thanks!! |

I imagine the problem has something to do with the material being in a
table. If the table is being allowed to resize automatically, it may be resizing too large. Try this: On the Table tab of Table Properties, click Options and clear the check box for "Automatically resize to fit contents." Then experiment with setting an exact width (in percent or linear measurement) for the table and see if that helps. Alternatively, do you perhaps have Outline view set to "Wrap to window"? If so, then I can imagine that printing directly from Outline view might be problematic. -- Suzanne S. Hi Suzanne,
Thank you for responding. I did check the checkboxes you referred to and they are all unchecked. However, you did bring to my attention that my table may be too wide and I believe that's the case. I will work on minimiazing it today. One more question: When I print, in print view I have each document on it's own page but when I pring in outline view it seems to cut some in half like instead of Partnerships printing on page two half with print on page two and the other half on page three. How can I fix this or what did I do wrong in setting this up? Thanks!!!! "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: I imagine the problem has something to do with the material being in a table. If you have inserted manual page breaks, then the text may certainly break
differently in Outline view. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "Stockwell43" wrote in message ... Hi Suzanne, Thank you for responding. Instead of inserting manual breaks, "guide" Word using "Keep with next" and
other controls. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFm...ksInTables.htm for more. -- Suzanne S.
