Is it possible to make a date field in a template static once the docment is
created? The problem right now is the date field changes to the current date but it needs to be the date the document was created |

Use a CreateDate field instead of a Date field. The field in the template
will always reflect the template creation date, but it will update (once!) to reflect the creation date of each document based on the template.
