I am running MS Office Word 2003 (11.5604.5606) on a system isolated from the
internet and need to figure out if I need an updates and patches installed. Short of connecting to the 'net (which is not an option due to IT restrictions), is there a way to determine when the 11.5604.5606 version was released, along with where and to download the current version of updates? Thank you in advance for your assistance. Bill |

Hi Bill,
I'm not clear on the method you're going to use to download updates if you can't connect online, (I'm assuming you're planning to use a CD/DVD/Thumb) but if this is an IT controlled environment you may want to check with them on when/if they plan to update everyone to a specific level. They may have a reason for maintaining a certain baseline for compatibility. You can check the Office 2003 product status manually using the information in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821549?FR=1 You have the original release of Office 2003 if you're using Method 3 in that article You can use http://office.microsoft.com/downloads to obtain the Office 2003 service packs or order via CD http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870924?FR=1 ============= "Bilbert" wrote in message ...
