I am running MS Office Word 2003 (11.5604.5606) on a system isolated from the
internet and need to figure out if I need an updates and patches installed.
Short of connecting to the 'net (which is not an option due to IT
restrictions), is there a way to determine when the 11.5604.5606 version was
released, along with where and to download the current version of updates?

FWIW, the latest version (according to my automatically updated copy) is
11.8026.8036.

Hi Bill,

I'm not clear on the method you're going to use to download updates if you can't connect online, (I'm assuming you're planning to
use a CD/DVD/Thumb) but if this is an IT controlled environment you may want to check with them on when/if they plan to update
everyone to a specific level. They may have a reason for maintaining a certain baseline for compatibility.

You can check the Office 2003 product status manually using the information in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821549?FR=1 You
have the original release of Office 2003 if you're using Method 3 in that article

You can use http://office.microsoft.com/downloads to obtain the Office 2003 service packs or order via CD
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870924?FR=1
