Never a problem before, but I'm using Office 2003 on Windows XP Professional.
I try opening saved files and I get an error message, "(filename.doc) is not available." I've opened and saved a new document, but can't open it after it's saved and closed in MS Word. I can save the file to a flash drive and open it on another PC. I've tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling it. Any other ideas? Marc |

First see how to re-register Word when problems crop up opening files
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ReRegisterWord.htm and if that doesn't fix it select a document in Windows Explorer, right click and choose Open with... From the ensuing dialog select Word (winword.exe) and check the box to always open with this application. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Moca Marc wrote: Never a problem before, but I'm using Office 2003 on Windows XP Professional.
