bookmarks in text boxes resetting when printing
I am using Word 2007 (and have been since the begining of doing my current
work in July 2007)and I have some bookmark (page number) crossreferences in text boxes, and yesterday they started resetting to '1' when I print. I have worked out: -if there is another bookmark reference outside of the text boxes this doesn't happen ( it is not practicable to do this in all documents) -it doesn't matter which printer I am using -it now affects all my earlier documents and a new one I created to check it out. argh... If you convert the text boxes to frames, does that improve things?

How do I do that?
Michelle PS also know now that if I convert it to a 1997-2003 document, it will work without resetting the crossreferences on our intranet, but still resets when i use the 2007 on the laptop that works as my C drive. PPS It also is fine on my home PC which has Vista and Word 2007. More information - the cross references don't reset if I do a 'quickprint'

This is strange. Are you sure that it cannot be a printer driver issue after
all? FWIW, you can convert text boxes to frames by clicking the button on the Text Box tab of the Text Box dialog box (right-click the text box border and choose Format Text Box from the context menu). Although I cannot promise that this will fix issue, it is a fact that frames work better with fields than text boxes do. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "MicehlleLeo NZ" wrote in message ...
