Can I "Protect" the content of a letter, and allow a merge to go?
All of the Protection options are greyed out when I try to protect a document
that has a merge in it. Basically I would like to provide a form to our clients, so they can merge there excel file into it, but I want to lock down the Word file, so all they can do is merge their data. Any ideas? |

Not an all too simple task, I'd wager, as you'd have to cover a couple of different Word releases. Plus reluctance on your recipients' side to allow macro solutions. 0.2ΒΆ Robert -- /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign | MSFT | \ / | MVP | Scientific Reports X Against HTML | for | with Word? / \ in e-mail & news | Word | http://www.masteringword.eu/ |
