Default Arial Bold Font PLEASE HELP!

I am trying to submit a US provisional patent and it requires Arial Bold text
to submit electronically. I am writing it in Word 2003 and then it has to be
converted to to PDF.

An Arial Bold font file appears in my C:\WINDOWS|FONT folder but it isn't
available in any microsoft Office 2003 programs and it doesn't appear in my
C:\WINDOWS\MSWORKS folder.

I am using Word 2003 on Windows XP.

Please help.

Applying the Arial font and then formatting it as Bold will use the Arial
Bold variant.

Thanks,

I tried that approach but still get an error saying it is the wrong text
when I submit my patent. I'll have to call the patent office and see what the
problem is.
It says the text should be Arial BoldMT. I don't know what the MT is?? It
also says the text must be embedded??? I thought all PDFs were embeded text.

I believe Arial Bold MT is Adobe's version of the common Arial font which
all Windows equipped PCs will have installed as a matter of course. I
suppose there are fears with respect to font licensing, but this requirement
smacks of petty bureaucracy.

Embedding the font used is however a more common requirement and ensures
that the PDF file will print correctly. The ability to embed fonts is
included in the full version of Acrobat, but may not be included in the free
PDF creation tools.
