Default Is automatic typing possible in Word 2003

I was working at home on Word 2003 and had left the screen for a 1/2 hour.
When I returned, text was being typed on my word document in front of me.
They were actual words eg (A,B...Select function...) being typed without me
using the keyboard. Could this be a virus or is there an automatic typing
function in Word 2003. I do not have access to the Internet at home
