I have a document with numerous pages. I would like to be able to put the
page numbers in the header, however when I get to page 5 I would like to insert a few blank pages without numbers, and then after the blank pages I would like to restart with the number 1. Is there anyway to do this? So I have 5 pages, then 3 blank pages, then on the 9th page I want to start with the number 1. |

The pages that are formatted differently need to be in a separate section.
Insert section breaks before and after the unnumbered pages, and then make sure that the headers are not linked to the previous section. I hope this helps. I inserted 5 pages and I have the headers on those, then on the 5th page I
inserted a section break, inserted 3 blank pages, and on the 9th page I inserted a section break at the top. Now when I go to start back with my page numbers I have numbers on the 3 blank pages also. When I try and delete these it deletes all my page numbers out of the header. "Idaho Word Man" wrote: The pages that are formatted differently need to be in a separate section.
