I have a customized Word template created with Word 2003 that doesn't work in
the Vista's Word or 2007...main content is present, but features such as the customized toolbar, autotext, etc. doesn't appear in the document. Could someone advise what updates I need? I'm working with an old laptop and a new one. Thanx! Jannise |

Your toolbar will appear under the Add-ins tab of the ribbon.

To make use of the toolbars, you will have to put the template in the
Startup folder for Word. AutoTexts should work just fine, but note that the AutoComplete feature is no longer available in Word 2007: Instead, you will have to type the name of an AutoText entry and then press F3 to insert it manually. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Jannise" wrote in message ... Hi Jannise,
To clarify one point about using customized toolbars from prior versions of Office. If you created your own toolbar in the prior version of Word, then the toolbar(s) will appear in the 'Custom Toolbars' group in Word 2007's Add-ins tab. If you added customization to a Word 2003 built in Toolbar instead, those customizations will not appear in Word 2007. FWIW, the Vista version of Windows does not have a separate version of Word. Word 2007 is part of Office 2007. =============== "Jannise" wrote in message ...
