Good morning,
I find partial answers here, but not enough to help me solve this problem. I have hundreds of emails from someone else's document to make the same color. They are in a column created from tabbing. First, how do I select them all to change their color without doing that one at a time with Ctrl. Holding Alt lets me highlight them, as someone suggested in another post, but the formatting is applied to only the first entry. Second, how can I change the default hyperlink color? This shouldn't be so hard! I've found an answer that says, Change the style. But how, please? Thanks, Robert |

There are two "hyperlink colors." The Hyperlink character style (blue and
underlined) is applied to hyperlinks by default. The Followed Hyperlink style (magenta and underlined) is applied to a hyperlink that has been followed (i.e., the URL or email address is still in your Internet cache somewhere or something). The latter is local and transient, so it's usually not worth worrying about much (it won't travel with the document). You can modify any style using the technique described at http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...ifyAStyle.html. Although this article has not (AFAIK) been updated for Word 2007, the procedure will be much the same once you have opened the Style pane (gallery, window, whatever you want to call it). -- Suzanne S. Thanks Suzanne! Clear solution and explanation. Discovered the magenta does
not travel. Same as with IE. Color disappears when the history is cleared. Similar. Robert "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: There are two "hyperlink colors."
