I'm using Word 2007 and have a page in my document with roughly an inch of
unwanted blank space above its bottom margin. I would very much like to fill
that space with text, but Word keeps forcing the lines that should fit there
onto the next page. Here are some more specific details. I have a floating
TIFF image taking up the top 7" of the page and a caption below it taking up
another 1/2" or so. Both the graphic and the caption have their text
wrapping set to "Top and Bottom," and there is one line of text under the
caption that has wrapped from the previous page. Beyond that isolated line,
however, all other text is automatically forced onto the next page, leaving a
blank space at the bottom of the page. I've checked to make sure that there
aren't any page breaks in the text, and the only pagination setting that is
turned on is widow/orphan control. I tried selecting the line of text above
the blank space and one or two lines of text on the next page and then
activating "Keep lines together," but nothing changed. So far, the only way
that I have been able to get Word to fill in the blank space with text is by
deleting the caption or moving it higher on the page so that it overlaps with
the graphic (both of which are obviously unacceptable). Many thanks in
