Default Make your text truncate to the size of the pane

I can not find the flag to set my typing to truncate to fit the pane.

As an example: Because of my eyesight I like to type with the pane (or
typing area) at 200. So as I type the words keep going off to the right and
I have to use the slider bar to see what I have typed. In word 2003 the
words would trundate and therefore I could easyly proofread the document.

Would someone please advise me how to find and set this option?

Thank you very much.

What you are describing is the "Wrap to window" setting, which is available
only in Normal view in Word 2003 and earlier; the equivalent in Word 2007
(which it sounds as if you have) is Draft view. In Office Button | Word
Options | Advanced | Show document content, check the box for "Show text
wrapped within the document window."

Thank you Suzanne; this did it for me.

Funny though; when I did this in the Word program that I bring up with my
shortcut key from my desktop it did not work.

When I started Word from the new Start Button; it worked!

So thanks again!
