Good Day All.
I have a problem on one PC, the PC runs XP Pro with all the latest Microsoft patches, Office 2007 Pro installed. When the user opens Word and starts typing everything is fine, but on occasion while typing the characters that he input from the keyboard suddenly change, the s becomes a n, but not always in that order. If the user closes Word and opens it up again all is fine. This looks like a random event. The user uses a wireless keyboard and mouse from Logitech. Can anyone help, or has anyone had this problem before. I have searched this on the Internet with no results. -- I.I Manager Commerce Faculty University of Cape Town |

Hi Kyle,
The most straight-forward explanation would be that automatic keyboard switching is allowed and Word thinks the user is typing in a different language, and switching the keyboard to match. So, if this happens again, have the user put the cursor into a "gibberish" word, then see which language formatting it has. This should be visible in the status bar (across the bottom of the Word window). If it's not there, right-click the status bar and activate the item "Language" (and the language should also be visible next to that item).
