When I push my center alignment button on the formatting toolbar it is
centering every line in the document instead of just the paragraph. I have tried opening a new document and it still happens. Word 2003 |

Can you give more information?
Is this text that you've copied in or created yourself? I'm wondering if you have some non-breaking spaces or soft-returns involved. If you click the show/hide paragraph symbol, my guess is that it will display spaces between your words as degree symbols rather than the usual small dot and/or your paragrpah return as down-and-left pointing arrows rather than the traditional double-p.
