Images in the Header

I'm having trouble with images put in the header. They cause massive type lag
when I'm typing. Has anyone else encountered this problem OR been successful
at adding images into their header without a performance hit?

I'm Using
Word 2007 * Windows Vista Business * Pentium 4 3.0 GHz * 1GB RAM
