I'm a pretty advanced Word user. I've been using Word since version 2 for
DOS. Overall, I think Word has some incredible features.

Caveat
I'm planning to move to OpenOffice. Partly because Vista is forcing me to
consider Linux, partly because Office is driving me away.

I've been trying to use OpenOffice (on Linux) for a couple of weeks
while my PC is kaput, and it's missing some of the most basic
functions, such as unlimited assignable keyboard shortcuts -- to apply
small capitals I have to do Format Character Effects Small
Capitals, and it's not one of the features available in the list of
things to which shortcuts can be assigned.

"Insert File" puts a page break before the inserted file.

Ctrl-S (Save) moves the cursor to (AFAICT) where it was the last time
the document was saved.
