Default creating web pages in word 2007

What do I do to properly format a word created web page so an imbedded
picture appears on my server? Currently a red x appears. The picture is in
a subfolder on the web server file manager, however, the location of the
picture does not transfer and remains directed to my C: drive. Help! Trying
to produce what I think is called "a replecated web page"

the most proper way would probably be to use something else to do Web
pages. Word has never been particularly good with it ...

That means you expect to get relative links. You should be able to force
these. There is a "update links on save" setting (pretty well buried in
Office button | Word Options | Advanced | General). Also, you can define
a hyperlink base which is equally hard to reach (Office button | Prepare
| Properties, there click on the drop down and "advanced", in the second
tab, bottom). I have never had to use these so I can only point you to them.

OTOH, since you need to upload the picture anyway, you could do that
first and insert them into Word directly from the server source. Not
nice code (i.e., whenever you move the document on the server or to
another server, you have to fix the links), but hey, you're using a text
processor as a web application ... :-)

Never heard that term before, sorry.
