I have a large document that is manually put together from smaller individual
Word documents. When I make changes to the smaller documents to update them, I need to be able to change the page numbers so that they will fit into the larger document. How can I change the page numbers to whatever I want? Thanks! |

You can specify the desired starting page number for each of the separate
documents in the Page Number Format dialog box. To display the dialog box, first activate the header/footer area, for example by double-clicking in the header. Then click the Format Page Number button on the Header and Footer toolbar (Word 97-2003) or click Page Number | Format Page Numbers on the Header & Footer Tools Design tab (Word 2007). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Jim Newbery" wrote in message ...
