For Word 2007 uncheck:
[ ] Use the Insert key to control overtype mode [ ] Use overtype mode. ( Microsoft Office Button Word Options Advanced: Editing ) || "Suzanne S. how do I cancle the overwrite option
The Insert key still, by default, works as a toggle in Word 2007. Checking
