Domain wide templates for Word
We have recently upgraded to Office 2007 Pro from Office 2000. However, some
of our users seem unable to change the default template permanently, ie they can change it in the existing document but it reverts back again to the wrong font etc upon creating a new document. Is there a global template which we could distribute around the domain to all computers, or do these need to be changed on a machine by machine basis? TIA Dave |

Domain wide templates for Word
You need to check where the User template location is set in Word. You can
find this under the Word Options area. The Normal.dot is the DEFAULT blank template. You can push this out to all your users, once you determine where Word is looking for it. Many settings are no longer controlled by the Normal.dot though. The Data and Option keys in the registry contain much of this information now. I hope this helps.
