Can I set up a save prompt in Word without using a macro?
I lost a classpaper since I closed without saving when I thought I had saved.
Auto Recover was no help. |

There is a save prompt. If you attempt to close an unsaved document it asks
you, "Do you want to save the changes to Document 1?" You had to click on the "No" button in order to close the document. How many times do you want it to prompt you? "Vicki M." wrote: I lost a classpaper since I closed without saving when I thought I had saved. Auto Recover was no help. |

The built-in keyboard shortcut for Save is Ctrl + S. If you have not
yet named your document the first time you press the shortcut, you are presented with the Save dialog box. If you have named your document (which you should always do immediately upon opening), the shortcut saves all changes since the last time you pressed the shortcut. Cheryl On Sep 29, 2:22*pm, Vicki M.
