Do you have adaptive menus enabled? Go to Tools | Customize | Options and
check the box for "Always show full menus."

It is enabled, but Options still doesn't show under Tools. Is there anything
else you think I might try?

Default Tools - Options

Tried that, closed and reopened Word, and got no "Options". Have used the CD
and run a repair sequence, with no "fix". Any other choices?
Thanks

I didn't see the rest of the posts, but you can try resetting your toolbars:
