Default Word 2003 template behavior

I've built a Word (2003) template for a client, they're are happy with the
way it looks, but have two remaining issues with the way it behaves:
1. The first page header (which is a full page JPEG background) "dissappears
sometimes"
2. The disclaimer on the last page (added with field code) also "dissappears
sometimes, then reappears, especially when only 2 pages"
I've had a look at it (and spent far too long), but with my (limited)
experience with setting up templates, using sections and field codes I can't
see what's going on.
Is there anyone out there who I can email the file to and can have a look
through for me and see if there's something I've not done quite optimally?
Happy to pay (your rates, whatever currency), I just want to find a
solution, or tell then it's how they are using it, or tell them it's a
limitation of MSWord.
Please can someone help!

Neil,

Remove the uppercase letters from my email address to send it to me. A
Captain Cook will be free.
