Hi,
I have a Word 2007 Macro Enabled Document (docm) containing a series of macros. It works fine and I would like to convert it to a Macro Enabled Template (dotm). When I attempt to save as a dotm file, the macros are not saved in the new document. The original document has macros saved in it, not in the Normal template. I am running a 32 bit version of Vista Ultimate and Word 2007. Can anyone help me? Thanks Keith |

If the document is opened and the macros it contains enabled then the macros
should stay with the document when it is saved as dotm. I am unable to reproduce your problem when this process is followed. It should also work even if the macros in the document are not enabled when you save it. What are your macro security settings in Word Options Trust Center Trust Center Settings Macro Settings? Set to Disable all macros with notification - which will give you a warning when macros are disabled. Yet even when disabled the macros are still present in the template - though not editable. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Keith wrote: Hi, I have a Word 2007 Macro Enabled Document (docm) containing a series of macros. Graham,
Trust Center setings are Enable all Macros and Trust access to VBA. How do I open a dotm to edit the contents? It opens as a new document, as it should, I cannot even save it as another dotm without loosing the macros. Do I have to copy the module in VBA to the new file? There must be a simpler way.
