I type "cc:" Word wants to change it to "Cc:". I have tried to enter this
under AutoCorrect Exceptions "INitial CAps"; however, the "Add" button is greyed out for some reason. Any suggestions other than turn off auto cap feature? -- Jan Decker |

You can in fact enter "cc" as an exception under Other Corrections, and it
will work. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "JanD" wrote in message ... I type "cc:" Word wants to change it to "Cc:". Hi Suzanne:
Thanks much, except I type it as "cc:" and the ":" is not being accepted. Any other suggestions? -- Jan Decker "Suzanne S. Don't include the colon. It works just fine without. The colon (or any other
punctuation) is what would otherwise trigger the AutoCorrect action. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "JanD" wrote in message ... FYI - I was just given this solution from an outside friend; go ahead and
type "cc:" and then type "Ctrl+Z" and it kept it as "cc:". Not quite sure how/why this worked, but it did. -- Jan Decker "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Don't include the colon. Undo (Ctrl+Z) reverses the AutoCorrect action. But adding it to the
Exceptions will save you from having to do even that. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "JanD" wrote in message ...
