Default PDF Conversion spacing issues

I am trying to convert a Word 07 doc into PDF, which is nothing new, but for
some reason today the file I have (which contains hyperlinks to other files)
is not converting properly. The line spacing is being modified during the
conversion process. Everything is OK up until pg. 7 then it removes a line
from pg 7, 2 lines from pg 8, 3 lines from pg 9 and 4 lines from pg 10. The
lines of text are not being removed, but extra lines in between paragraphs
are. The format of the document is crucial to preserve. Are there any Word
settings I can change, or is this an Acrobat issue?
