Default Save template as PDF

I have a Word form (template) that I would like to fill in and save as a PDF
file. However, when I click Adobe PDF on the menu bar and select "Convert to
Adobe PDF", it insists on saving it as a .doc file first. I then have to
delete the .doc file. Is there any way to avoid creating the .doc file?

Default Save template as PDF

When you create a new document based on a template, it is unsaved, and Adobe
cannot create a PDF from an unsaved document (even one that has unsaved
changes), so no, there's likely no workaround. The reason appears to be
that, although Adobe appears to be operating on the document you're viewing
on the screen, it's actually working from the document saved to disk.

I usually use save as - otherformats.
It will show .pdf, .dotx, .dot, .doc
is it appear .pdf when you want to save file in your Word?

Default Save template as PDF

As Suzanne indicates this is a function of the Adobe converter when used
with the Adobe Add-in to take advantage of the extra functions the add-in
provides. If you simply print to the Adobe driver you do not have to save
the document first.
