Default Footnote Alignment

For some odd reason, each new footnote number begins at the center of the
footnote area, not left-aligned. How do I make a global change so that this
automatically occurs.

Default Footnote Alignment

Have you modified the formatting of Normal style? Footnote Text is based on
Normal.
