Conditional Text (like FRameMaker) or other Versioning strategy
Framemaker allows you to create unlimited different versions of a document by
assigning conditions to the document (like Model 1, Model 2, Model 3) and then creating text that will only appear when that condition (ex. Model 1) is selected. (1) Does Word 2007 provide any similar capabilities? (2) Is there a reliable plug-in that does this? Or (3) has anyone created a work-around that is NOT overly complicated or cumbersome? THANKS. |

The short answer is no, but you may be able to cobble something together
from http://www.gmayor.com/SelectFile.htm Whether that is overly complicated of cumbersome only you can judge. You could create separate versions of documents - see http://www.gmayor.com/save_numbered_versions.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org William Now wrote: Framemaker allows you to create unlimited different versions of a document by assigning conditions to the document (like Model 1, Model 2, Model 3) and then creating text that will only appear when that condition (ex.
