You've got a bit of learning ahead of you, I'm afraid. First, tab spacing is
a paragraph format attribute. You can change them using Format Paragraph or set them in the ruler. However, they are set by distance, not by number of spaces because the distance for a given number of spaces will differ dramatically depending on the typeface and type-size you are using. See http://addbalance.com/usersguide/basic_formatting.htm for more on setting up your formatting. Long term, you want to set your formatting using Styles. Once you learn this it makes everything so much easier. http://addbalance.com/usersguide/styles.htm. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
