Microsoft office 2007 SP2 Changed all older .doc's to notepad for
I was wondering if anyone knows how to get all Word documents created in a
version prior to Office 2007 back to .doc format? When I got an automatic update for Office 2007 SP2 today, the update changed all older versions (mainly Office 2003) into notepad format. I can still open them with Word, but it's weird that they all changed. And, when I download .docs they automatically open with notepad now, instead of Word. Any hints? Thanks |

You're not saying that their filenames changed from .doc to .txt, are
you? Right-click on any .doc file, choose Open With ..., choose MSWord, and check the box for "Always use this application to open documents of this type."
