Default Word 2007 Caption Pain

Hello,

Whenever I update a caption in a Word document to reflect the heading
section the caption is in it changes all of the captions from previous
section. For example I have a caption that should be formatted to Heading 5
so I make this change through the Caption dialog box, however, once I click
OK the previous captions which range from headings 2-4 would update to a
heading 5.

Is there a way to break this link when changing captions?

Thanks,

Default Word 2007 Caption Pain

A given caption can be linked only to a single heading level.

Default Word 2007 Caption Pain

I have a similar problem. I have the previous caption in the beginning
section, and in section II, I start appendix A. I want to make captions have
the chapter letter (i.e., A-1, A-2 etc.) only in Section II. But when I
change it in section II, it applies in section 1. So, section 1 becomes 1-2,
1-3 etc.

Is there a way around this?
