I have created a table with shading, font styles, column spacing, etc that I
want to be able to use over and over again. This sounds like a "table
template." How would I do this? I have Word 2007 for XP.

You can use a table style for shading, borders, font settings, cell margins,
and so forth, but cannot be used to set table and column widths. Table
styles are designed to apply to lots of differently shaped tables to give
them a similar appearance. They can be applied to already typed tables as
well as new tables. If you want to use a table style in W2007, there are
just two up front steps you need to do so the tables work properly: Make
the body font settings for your template and document on the Set Defaults
tab of the manage styles dialog. Leave the normal style unmodified.

However, what you describe sounds like one table "shape" that you want to use,
as you say, over and over. Saving your formatted table as autotext and
inserting it when needed sounds like it would work well for you.
