It sounds as if your language/keyboard settings are wrong. Do you see a
language and/or keyboard indicator in Windows' notification area? If so, then right-click it and choose Settings. Here, with Language set to English (US) and Keyboard set to US, I get @ when I press Shift+2. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "derekparker" wrote in message ... The regional Options button does hack it!
Select the keyboard tab from the dialog behind that button; then press "Change Keyboard" and make sure the only keyboard set up is one that matches your hardware - I can't advise further as I don't know where in the world you are, although my guess would be that you have a US keyboard and are using a definition for a different English (UK, Canadian, Australian?) one. -- Enjoy, Tony www.WordArticles.com "derekparker" wrote in message ...
