No, not literally.

But you can define a character style in which the only formatting it applies
is the font color, and that color can be one you get from the "more colors"
dialog. Create a separate character style for each custom color.

What version of Word. It is partially possible in Word 2007; I forget the
details off the top of my head but PowerPoint MVP Echo Swinford shows how to
