Is there actually a line (line break or paragraph break) between lines? If
so, see http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/CleanWebText.htm or http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Clean_Up_Text.htm. Otherwise, Ctrl+A, Format | Paragraph, and select Single spacing with no Spacing Before/After. -- Suzanne S. Turn on Show Non-Printing Characters (Ctrl-Shift-8). Do you see empty
paragraph marks between the lines? If you do, then do find/Replace (Ctrl-H). In the upper box, type ^p^p In the lower box, type ^p Click Replace All. Click it again and again until Word tells you "0 replacements." Do you see backward-L marks? Then you will Find ^l (letter ell) instead of ^p and perhaps Replace with nothing (leave the box empty). If you see no marks at all in the empty spaces, then your paragraphs have Space After. Select all the lines, go to Format Paragraph, and change Space Before and Space After to 0 (zero).
