Unless you mean WordPerfect-style formatting code, which doesn't exist

Though I can certainly see that the WP users have a point -- to use

More easily in 2003, unless you load up your QAT as we have done; but
even so, you have to look away from the text and interpret the icons. WP formatting codes are like html markup, appearing right in the line of text.
