The size of the finished book is immaterial. You can get a character count
using Tools | Word Count in Word 2003 and earlier, or by clicking the Word Count button on the status bar in Word 2007 (if you don't see this button, right-click on the status bar and add it). -- Suzanne S. Thanks Rose Just set the margins so the text area is 6" x 9" or whatever the final text area will be. The paper size that you tell Word about is irrelevant. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
