I copied some cells from Excel and Pasted Hyperlink into Word. I want the
Word document to automatically update when the Excel source document is changed (while it is open). When I go back to Word and try to do Edit Links, the "Links" option is grayed out. So the Word document doesn't update when Excel is updated. I would appreciate any help. Note: I'm using Windows XP with Word and Excel 2003 |

If you want the Excel range to update in Word as it is being changed in
Excel, you can't use the hyperlink option. Instead, do the following after you've copied the range: In Word, click Edit, and then click Paste Special. In the dialog box, choose the "Paste link" option, and then choose for example "Formatted text (RTF)" (which means table formatting). When you are done, click OK. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Cary_Rob" wrote: I copied some cells from Excel and Pasted Hyperlink into Word.
