In using Office 2003 I didn't have this problem. I upgraded to Office 2007.
When I do the mail merge the first "0" in the zip code is dropping off. I have the cells formated for zip code and it is still doing the same thing. |

If you click on the Office button and then on Word Options in the bottom
border of the dialog and then go to the Advanced group and then scroll down to the General section and check the box for "Confirm file format conversion on open", when you attach the data source to the mail merge main document, you will be presented with a dialog that allows you to select the method by which the connection should be made. If you select the DDE option, the zip codes will probably be displayed correctly. Alternatively, see the article "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at: http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm -- Hope this helps.
