Default Upper portion of letters are missing

In Word 07, When I try to type in MS Word the upper portion of the letters
are missing. On capitol letters about the upper 1/2 of the letter is missing.
On lower case letters just the tops of the letters are missing. This doesn't
seem to happen in my email or other programs just Word.

This is usually caused by an "exact" value set for the paragraph line
spacing. On the Home Ribbon, click the dialog box launcher in the bottom
right corner of the Paragraph Group. Set an appropriate line spacing.

Set the line spacing to "Single."

If you need to use an Exactly line spacing, about 20% bigger than your
font size is a handy rule of thumb.
