Default Inserting exhibit page numbers in footer of document?

How do I go from last page of document in footer (pg 30) to A-1, A-2, A-3;
B-1, B-2; C-1, etc.? In short, I need to number the exhibits in the footer
and can't seem to get it to work. I am able to start renumbering at each
exhibit, but don't see an option to select a format like the one I described
above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lynne - you have to create seperate Sections in the Insert/Break pull
down. Create seperate Sections for each Exhibit, number the pages starting
at 1, then go to footer an type in "A-(pg #)" before the page number.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. I thought it might be something like that, but when I
did that; it made page 30 appear as A-30! And what weirder is that C-1, D-1
etc. work. It's only Exhibits A and B that I can't get to do right! Help!?!

Hi Lynne - I know you probaly have checked the header-footer view and turned
the repeat h-f off for the new sections. If so that is the onlyother thing I
can think of to help you out. Car

Yes I had - but looked again, thanks to you, and I think that's where the
problem lies. Thanks so much Carmen.
