I deleted several documents on a removable ISB drive. Later I found I needed
these files and used a file recovery program to find the files. I had not used the USB drive for anything else so the deleted files were found easily. I was able to save them as MS Word documents, but when I open them they are just jumbled characters. I've tried all the Word choices for decoding the file and nothing works. When I originally made these documents they were password protected. Could that be why I can't read them now? Any suggestions on what I should do? |

If they were password protected against opening before and are not now, it
seems that the recovery software could not handle the encryption properly and the documents are now corrupt. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Tuva42 wrote: I deleted several documents on a removable ISB drive.
