I am using hyperlinks in Word. When I use Ctrl+Click, it jumps to that
hyperlink (in the same word document) but how do I get back to the section where I started from. Also, What if I get to that hyperlink from multiple sections. Is there a way to get back to those specific sections from the same hyperlink. |

Alt+Left
Hold the Alt Key down and press the left arrow. This will return you to the previous location (at least in Word 2003). You could also use the Back button on the Web Toolbar. Both of these should always take you back to the last place you hyperlinked from, so that may answer the second part of your question. tj "pcm14" wrote: I am using hyperlinks in Word. It worked! Thanks so much, tj.
One other question along the same lines - Can I create a shortcut or alter the Alt+Left key just like the way I can alter Ctrl+Click to go to a hyperlink. Thanks in Advance. Not quite sure what you are asking.
Alt+Left is a keyboard shortcut, so you could alter it by going to Tools | Customize | Commands. There will be a choice for Keyboard. You would need to find Back Command, then you could alter it's keyboard shortcut. If you have to jump around in your document a lot, you may want to consider using the built-in Heading Styles to start your sections. Then, you can activate the Document Map--View | Document Map. Also, you may want to check out the Insert | Bookmark Commad. Don't forget the navigation buttons on the Web toolbar, either. tj "pcm14" wrote: It worked! Thanks so much, tj. One more question along the same lines, can I create a short cut for Alt+Left similar to Ctrl+Click function when jumping to a hyperlink. Thanks in Advance.
